5:45 – 6:15pm Going Solar for Commercial Buildings
From economics to sustainability and more, there are many reasons why you should go solar for your business or commercial building. Learn the details of the program, how to participate and how to find a qualified solar provider. Finally, hear about recent Albertan success stories who chose to advance their business by going solar.
6:15 – 6:45pm Going Solar for Farms
Many farmers do not realize that solar energy is an abundant resource in Alberta that they can “harvest”. Growing Forward 2 is a federal-provincial-territorial partnership with a mandate to drive an innovative, competitive and profitable Canadian agriculture and agri-food sector. Farm and land-owners are urged to get involved and take control of their electricity use through the newly introduced On-Farm Solar Photovoltaics Program. In this session, you will learn the basics of the program, how solar would benefit your farm and the first steps to get started.
- Rob Harlan, Executive Director, Solar Energy Society of Alberta (SESA)
