Dunsky Energy Consulting
Ahmed is a Consultant at Dunsky Energy Consulting, where he supports utilities, governments, corporations and non-profits across Canada and the U.S. with the design, modelling and evaluation of renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable mobility programs and policies. Ahmed has led Dunsky’s distributed solar and storage studies for California, New York, Ontario, Alberta, and New Brunswick among other jurisdictions, which included technical potential assessments, market adoption forecasts, incentive and financing program designs, value of solar studies and assessments of grid impacts. Most recently, he led a study on behalf of CanSIA to develop a market outlook, and labour force study for the Nova Scotia residential solar market. Ahmed holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from McGill University and a Master’s degree in energy science from ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He was also a Your Energy Future (YEF) fellow, where he contributed to initiatives to develop Canada’s proposed energy strategy.
