Vice President, Public Policy
Anne Smart is the Vice President of Public Policy for North America for ChargePoint, the world’s largest network of electric vehicle charging stations. In this role, Anne leads federal, state and local electric vehicle policy related to utilities, rate design, grid modernization, grants, clean fuels programs, electric buses, trucks, forklifts, fleet electrification, autonomous vehicles and future mobility. Before coming to ChargePoint, Anne was the Executive Director of The Alliance for Solar Choice (TASC), a rooftop solar advocacy group founded by SolarCity and Sunrun. Anne was also previously the Director of Energy at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, a public policy trade association representing 375 of Silicon Valley’s most respected technology companies and universities. Anne has a Master of Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Delaware and Bachelor degrees in Public Administration and Environmental Studies from Miami University. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
